SMART analysis. Philips has developed a technology that analyzes the patient and automatically determines whether or not a shock is necessary. Therefore, in the event of a panic attack during resuscitation, the device will decide the precise moment to deliver the shock.

Pediatric function. The FRx device offers the option of applying treatments to children. To use this option, the child unlock key included with the device must be used. This eliminates the need to change electrode pads and to use different-sized electrodes for adults and children.
