Heartsine AEDs operate with a PadPak module for changing the battery and electrode array. This 2-in-1 module makes it even easier to prepare the AED for use again after implantation. The PadPak module is suitable for use in adult patients. For this purpose, all individuals weighing over 25 kg or aged 8 years or older are considered suitable. The battery and electrode module are always pre-connected in the AED. This saves valuable time during implantation. Electrode placement is indicated on both the packaging and the AED.

Samaritan Heartsine Electrode Lifespan

Defibrillation electrodes always have an expiration date. The expiration date for Heartsine Samaritan electrodes is four years. You can find this information on the blue label of the PadPak module. The electrodes are supplied with a conductive gel that can dry out. Using electrodes with defective gel at the time of deployment can have negative consequences for the patient. Always ensure that you connect an unopened PadPak whose expiration date has not yet passed.
